Relying on recent work in the cognitive science of religion, Richard Dawkins said God is a delusion and Daniel Dennett said that God is an illusion; ergo, belief in God is irrational. Dr. Clark will critically assess Dawkin’s and Dennett’s claims through a careful reconstruction of the cognitive science of belief in God and a construction of a theory of rationality that conduces to work in cognitive science in general.
